Don’t you just love those cloudy, rainy days? Makes you want to curl up with some hot chocolate and watch a movie or read a book.  I normally appreciate a rainy day. It reminds me of the cool California weather I experienced as a child.  However, when I have a maternity session and it starts getting windy I no longer care for that weather.  Despite the wind, clouds, and the bit of rain that we got, we were able to get these gorgeous images…

(Okay, we did shoot a few images on another day, but the weather was only a tad better. We actually got rain that day during the session!)

Is it the moment you find out you are pregnant?  The first time you hear your baby’s heart beat?  The first time you get to hold that precious baby in your arms? The first time they call you “mom”? Or maybe it is the first time you disciplined  your child?  Like most things, it varies on the person.  Even though I don’t have children yet, I am surrounded by wonderful nieces & nephews and I feel like a mother sometimes.  I am the oldest in my family.  I remember changing diapers since I was 7 or 8 years old, helping my mom with chores, and babysitting like crazy.  I guess you could say I matured at a very young age.  I am curious to know when I will feel like a “real” mom.  Maybe it will be the moment I find out that I am pregnant.  I always find myself being extra careful when I drive if I have children in the car.  I am pretty sure I’ll take extra care of myself when there is a little pea growing inside of me.

When did you feel like a mother? (It is unique for everyone, don’t be embarrassed to share! I’d love to know =)

I I can’t even image the last few years without my Wendy. Yes, my best friend’s name is Wendy! She is the white version of me! And such a hottie! She is one of those lucky people that looks beautiful no matter what.  Just look at these maternity photos. She totally rocked the camera and we had a total blast (as usual).  I LOVE your family girl! I look forward to watching your family grown =)

We had beautiful light, weather, and a beautiful pregnant lady.  Her smile can light up an entire room.  The way he makes her smile is gorgeous.  I am so happy for you two and I can’t wait to photograph your baby!
