Do you have an Elf on the shelf? If you have children you should get yourself this little elf. I hear he is quite handy this time of year. I had never heard of this book until last year and thought it was the coolest thing ever. For those of you that don’t know, here is how I was told it works:
The kids wake up each morning looking for the Elf. The Elf keeps an eye on them throughout the day and reports to Santa after the kids have gone to bed. This is how Santa knows if they’ve been good or bad. The next day the Elf appears in a new spot. (he has usually gotten himself into some sort of mischief) -How fun for the kiddos!
You can take this idea and start your own tradition. You could even create your own elf! The possibilities are endless!!! The ELF usually appears around Thanksgiving and the book will explain where he came from & all about his magical powers. =) CLICK HERE to get some ideas of where to place the ELF!
I love TRADITIONS like this and I can’t wait for all of the upcoming holiday fun! I would love to do a post on {Mommy Corner} about family traditions. Share one or all! It can be small, it can be big. It can be silly, it can be heartfelt. I just love hearing about everyone’s traditions. =) Please email me your tradition(s) no later than November 20th so we can share them on the blog the beginning of December. me@wendhyjeffers.com
